On behalf of East and South East Asians for Labour, it is my pleasure to welcome you today and thank you for dropping by and showing an interest in the beauty of East and South East Asian cultures and people in the Labour Party.
As Chair of the society, it is my honour and privilege to represent your interests and ensure that the Party and wider public is aware of the key issues affecting our communities and impacting our quality of life.
We hope that you feel comfortable to turn to us and our site for key resources (please bear with us as we build these), and that you reach out to us for whatever we can help with. Whilst we are run by volunteers, we will always try our best to help you. And in the not too distant future, we hope that you will have a dedicated organiser to develop the key networks to help our communities to continue to flourish.
Finally, as a serving councillor, I call on you to represent your community in whatever way that feels most comfortable; whether that be as a School Governor, Charity Trustee, Magistrate, or in the ideal world, a Local Councillor or a Member of Parliament.
Once again, thank you for your time and attention and we look forward to meeting you at one of our events very soon!
