About the event

Join us for a panel with Kim Johnson MP; Sarah Owen MP; Tony Vaughan of Doughty Street Chambers and one of the UK’s eminent immigration lawyers; and Judy Kinnin, a key campaigner for the rights of the families of the hundreds of Chinese Seafarers who experienced forced deportations following the end of the Second World War.

Chaired by Lotis Bautista of East and South East Asians for Labour, we'll discuss the lessons we can learn from this dark period in our country’s history and look ahead to what we want the next Labour government's policy on immigration to be.

Please join us afterwards for a tour of the Pagoda Community Arts Centre and other historic sites in Europe's oldest Chinatown!

This will also double as an ESEA for Labour members' meetup, and we look forward to seeing you all there!
