Have you ever thought about standing to be a Labour Councillor?

Councillors are elected to represent their local community. You will have a passion for your area and want the best for the place that you live in. Councillors make decisions that make a difference to the quality of residents’ daily lives.

Being a Councillor requires commitment and hard work but is very rewarding.

This session looks at the role of a Councillor and you will hear from a senior Councillor about what it’s really like. In addition the session looks at how you go about getting selected and then how to get elected, with top tips for both. There will be plenty of opportunity for questions and contributions.

Refreshments will also be served and a chance to network with other attendees.

If you are interested in being a Councillor in the future then this is definitely a
session you should attend. It will take place:

Date: Friday 23 November 2018 | Time: 18.00-20.00 | Venue: Local Government Association, 18 Smith Square, London SW1P 3HZ
