Chinese for Labour won an Award for their dedicated work in combatting the rise in hate crime after the Brexit vote.
The Award was presented by Rt Hon Baroness Angela Smith PC, Labour Leader in the House of Lords at last night's SME for Labour Annual Banquet.
Collecting the Award, Sonny Leong CBE, Chair of Chinese for Labour said "We are honoured to receive this award on behalf of the thousands on victims of racist and hate crimes since the Referendum. We will not allow a minority to try to divide our societies, communities and country. Collectively, we stand together to call these people out and challenge them. This country is better because of all of us - contributing and engaging in the success of this the United Kingdom. Our country is better for its openness, diversity and internationalism and no one should take that away."
